Mycelio discs are the new sustainable solution of the future.
With no effort good quality coffee can now be made in an eco-friendly way.

Mycelio discs

Mycelio uses coffee discs as single-serve portions, making coffee preparation easier than ever. After using, the disc can be thrown into the organic waste, no hussle needed as they are made up of compostable materials. Mycelio discs combine the benefits of the pod system, with the sustainability of the podless machines.

The discs are made up of three layers. The coffee is covered by a primary layer of cellulose film, which is in turn coated in a layer of chitin to decrease oxygen permeability. This way the coffee is kept fresh until usage, while also ensuring the sustainability goals are met. Since coffee is very reactive with water and moisture, a third mycelium layer is grown on the outside. The combination of these three materials offers high quality coffee, while still preserving the environment.

The pods are sold in packages of 20, based on the average weekly European consumption and can be ordered online from the website or bought from Nespresso boutiques.
